The Update... February 2026
Welcome to 2026: A February Update from Anchor Point Church
As we step into 2026, we want to say a big welcome to everyone across the Anchor Point Church family. If we haven’t met before, my name is Rohan, and along with my wife Jill, I have the privilege of serving as Lead Pastor across our three locations — Illawarra, Macarthur, and Wollondilly.
This year, we’re trying something new. From 2026 onward, we’ll be sharing monthly updates to help keep our whole church family connected and informed. These updates will include what’s happening across the life of the church, what’s coming up, good news stories, testimonies, and glimpses into what God is doing among us.
For February, I’m kicking things off solo — but moving forward, our hope is to feature you. We want to share testimonies from connect groups, updates from our local community ventures team, and stories from different ministry areas. Our prayer is that these updates help strengthen our sense of family and shared mission.

February Focus: 21 Days of Prayer & Fasting
One of the most important things happening across all locations in February is our 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting, beginning Sunday 1 February and running through to Saturday 21 February.
Fasting doesn’t mean you must go without food entirely — everyone is encouraged to approach it wisely and prayerfully. We’ll be sharing guidance and resources to help.
Our Prayer Focus
Each day, we’ll aim to share a short scripture and a brief devotion through social media to help keep us unified in prayer.

Our Prayer Focus
- Week 1: Personal Renewal
Deepening our relationship with God through personal, reflective prayer. - Week 2: Church Family & Belonging
Praying for health, connection, and belonging across our church. Belong is the first of our mission statements — Belong, Become, Build — and we want this to be lived out in practice. - Week 3: Outward Focus & Mission
Praying for our communities, outreach, mission (local and overseas), and for people searching for hope to encounter Jesus and find a place to belong.
Each day, we’ll aim to share a short scripture and a brief devotion through social media to help keep us unified in prayer.

As we conclude the 21 days, we’ll be hosting a Men’s Breakfast for men aged 16 and up. More details will be shared via the app and email — but for now, mark the date in your diary.
Location Updates
Illawarra
Macarthur
Exciting changes are underway at Macarthur.
From Sunday 1 February, we’ll be relocating from Spring Farm School to Barramurra Public School in Oran Park, meeting at 10am. This move positions us closer to the Southwest Growth Corridor — an area with growing families and new communities.
We’re also hosting monthly interest nights to help people connect with the vision and future of the Macarthur location. Please be praying for this season of transition and growth, and invite anyone you know in the Camden, Oran Park, Leppington, or Emerald Hills areas.
Wollondilly
Illawarra
- AnchorKids recommences in February when school returns
- Connect Groups restart, with plans to create even more opportunities this year

The need in our communities is growing, and we’re always looking for more volunteers and support. Often, what people need most is simply someone to listen, care, and walk alongside them. If you would like to volunteer, please contact your Location Pastoral Leaders to see where you can help.
